Probably neither one, or both, your choice 🙂
But, aside from your preferences, I wanted to focus on something relevant when it comes to used EVs.
I was just going through the data from the tests our dealer customer base has generated in 2025, and I stopped on these Tesla Model Xs.
These are real-world data coming from ~10-year-old vehicles with +100k miles. Same age, same mileage.
One showing 87% state of health, the other 82%.
And again, this proves one more time that mileage alone is not a good indication of battery condition.
Battery health is not just about age, mileage, or fast charging taken as standalone data.
It depends on many factors, such as climate exposure, charging habits and overall usage. All combined together.
Even if we don't know the full history of these two cars, these results tell you everything you need to know about their batteries.
And being able to see that data is especially important for older EVs, where there's no manufacturer warranty backing the battery condition.
Knowing state of health and estimated range allows dealers and EV shoppers to clearly understand the actual residual value of these vehicles.
A 5% difference in battery health does make a difference in what the buyer is open to paying for.
